The illustrated disc flight line is based on the manufacturer field testing results, during its development process. So, to level the playing field we chose to put a different spin on things for such visual illustrations. Sticking to the manufacturer's test results will offer you a good baseline for how that particular disc will fly.
The MVP Electron Volt Disc Golf Fairway Driver is a baseline plastic disc that's stable and great for players of all skill levels. It's the original fairway driver from MVP and beloved by many.
The flight path of the Volt is straight with a bit of turn early in the flight. Once it's gone most of the way it will have a slow hyzer finish that still goes forward. If you're throwing the Volt you can expect it to be stable unless there's a strong headwind. It's got excellent glide and as an 8 speed fairway driver it can be thrown by players of all skill levels from beginner to pro. In the electron plastic you can expect the Volt to be slightly less overstable than its neutron and proton counterparts. It will also beat in quickly and may be a straighter flyer, or even a slow turnover fairway driver after you season it.
Electron Plastic from MVP is the baseline plastic from the company. It's got superb grip and a very tacky feel to the disc. It does beat in fairly quickly but that's fine if you're looking for a disc to be less overstable. It also gives it extra grip in the rain and snow without hardening up and becoming as overstable as other plastics.
The Electron Volt from MVP is an excellent fairway driver that you can throw in the open or the woods. It's great for backhand or forehand players, and in electron plastic it's less overstable than other plastics so you can expect more turn and less fade.
