The illustrated disc flight line is based on the manufacturer
field testing results, during its development process. So,
to level the playing field we chose to put a different spin on
things for such visual illustrations. Sticking to the manufacturer's test results will offer you a good baseline for how that
particular disc will fly.
The Innova Halo Star Invader is a stable approach putter that handles those short upshots with straight glide and a little fade. It's a great choice inside 175 feet when you want something you can put a little oomph into and not have it blow past the basket.
The Invaders flight path is going to be straight and stable. You can really expect this disc to hold for 75% of the flight and then it's going to drop out of the sky with a very small hyzer tail. This is the touch approach shot disc you want when you don't want something wicked overstable. As a 3 speed with 2 glide you'll really notice how little energy it takes to get this going. But that it doesn't want to push past where you throw it. Think of this disc as an approach lite disc, without the big dump you expect from discs like the Pig/Zone/Harp/Toro.
Halo Star plastic from Innova is a premium blend of plastic. It's durable and slightly more overstable right out of the box than regular star plastic. It's good for grip and you'll see this plastic on the Disc Golf Pro Tour as well as on your local courses because it works everywhere for everyone.
The Halo Invader from Innova is that straight disc you can put a little oomph into and know that it's going to stop, drop, and not roll. Snag one of these for your approach game.
