The illustrated disc flight line is based on the manufacturer field testing results, during its development process. So, to level the playing field we chose to put a different spin on things for such visual illustrations. Sticking to the manufacturer's test results will offer you a good baseline for how that particular disc will fly.
The Innova DX Dragon is a fairway driver that's perfect for slower arms and folks who are looking for something flippy. The Dragon is excellent at turning and has great glide. It's also the perfect disc to throw when water is in play, it floats!
The flight path of the Dragon depends on how you release it. On a flat release it has lots of turn early in the flight and will flip over quite easily. It's an excellent disc to learn on, since they're also all lightweight as well. On a hyzer release, the Dragon will flip up to flat and then turn. It will finally come back and hyzer out. This shot known as the hyzer flip is a way to increase your max distance with understable discs. The Dragon works best with a backhand grip. The shallow rim make it difficult to forehand.
DX plastic often gets overlooked as "cheap" but it's quite durable. This is very grippy plastic, more grippy than the usual DX that you're used to in other molds. As long as you're not throwing this disc at max speed directly into rocks or trees you can expect it to last for years.
The Innova DX Dragon is prized by many players because it's easy to throw, it floats on water, and it's got lots of distance for little power. If those are all things that you're looking for on the course then snag one of these awesome discs today!
