The illustrated disc flight line is based on the manufacturer field testing results, during its development process. So, to level the playing field we chose to put a different spin on things for such visual illustrations. Sticking to the manufacturer's test results will offer you a good baseline for how that particular disc will fly.
The Innova Champion Lion is a stable to overstable midrange that offers players a torque resistant disc. It's very similar to the Innova Roc3 from Innova Discs but with a little more of a straight flight. If you're a fan of the Shark, Roc, or Jay from Innova discs you should really give the Lion a shot.
The flight path is straight with a light fade at the end of the flight. Because the Lion has a 4 glide and not a 5 it's going to spend less time hanging out in the air. Throw the Lion in tight windows where you want it to set down without a long hyzer fade. It's a great choice from 100-250 feet and this disc is definitely for both beginner players and advanced folks as well.
Champion plastic from Innova is a premium blend. It's a great choice for the Lion because you may be throwing this disc quite hard and want it to keep that stability if you smack a tree, rock, or even chains.
The Champion Lion is a great midrange. If you've tried the midrange selection from Innova in the last few years you can see that they're really fleshing out their stable 4-5 speeds selection. Try the Lion and see why you want something that's straighter than a Roc3 but more stable than a Jay or Shark.
